I have finished uploading all the pictures that Betsy sent me from danielday.org, so all the Photo Gallery links should work now. If you find one that doesn't, please let me know. I can't fix something unless I know it's broken.

Since GONY has now finished filming and gone into post-production, we are unlikely to be reading much about it for a while. Consequently I have removed the GONY page from LINKS division. All photographs are now available at the Photo Gallery GONY page. All new GONY material will be placed there. Any GONY news is likely to show up on the Bulletin Board first.

Kyoko, who many of you know, gave us that marvelous Denali ad that Daniel filmed in Japan, has opened her own website, An Admirable Actor, Daniel Day-Lewis. Congratulations, Kyoko. I know your wonderful site will make Daniel many more fans in Japan

As many of you are already aware, danielday.org has ceased operations. I have been in contact with Betsy about this and she is going to mail me a cd with all the material that was at danielday so I can incorporate it into the dd-l.net site. In the meantime, a lot of links will not be working -- especially links to photographs in the Photo Gallery. I have copies of many of the photos and am working as fast as I can to upload them to dd-l.net. I apologize for the ones I haven't gotten to yet and the ones I don't yet have. Hopefully the Photo Gallery will back in full operation soon.

I would like to personally thank Betsy for all the hard work she put into danielday. It was the first site I found on the internet when I searched for material on Daniel Day-Lewis, and I will always grateful for the many hours of entertainment and all the information it provided me. Thank you, Betsy

The Photo Gallery is undergoing a major renovation. I have combined all the magazines into three sections and taken out those pictures from the magazines that logically belong elsewhere and placed them there. This should make for a more streamlined index page and allow you to find photos where you would logically expect them to be.

Also, I am attempting to add some biography details where appropriate to pages and have put up all the photos we have of Daniel until he graduated from Bedales in 1975 at one Young Daniel Page I am planning on adding pages for Gabriel Kane and for Rebecca and Ronan to this section as well.

All this renovation means that the Photo Gallery may be down from time to time. I will try to keep the disruptions to a minimum. Thank you for your patience.

Thank you all for bearing with me the past couple of months. I've had some life changes and some major computer problems that have prevented me from doing as much with the site as I have wanted to. Things seem to be settling down now and I can get back to work.

Since my last news update, we have had new pictures from Kyoko in Japan and Ursi in Germany. I have added new Advertisements and Nanou sections in the Photo Gallery Index to accommodate these.(Be sure and check out the Denali .mpg commercial in the Viewing Room!) Also since we are starting to get more GONY pictures, there is a GONY section in the PGI now as well. I have also split the Sightings Page into three separate ones -- 1999, 2000, and 2001. No new pics for 2001 yet, but stay tuned -- this promises to be an exciting year for Daniel Day-Lewis fans! October 28, 2000

I have finished doing a plain composite picture similar to the one used for the August calendar and put it up in a new "Composites" section off the Photo Gallery Index I hope to be adding more composites as I find the time to do them. If anybody else would like to try there hand, send me a copy of your work!

danielday.org has been recently reorganized. I have updated the links on this page and in the Photo Gallery Index to reflect the changes. Please email me if any of the links do not work. I also hope to be adding links in the PGI to other photos of Daniel at this site and others on the net. The goal is to eventually have an index of every known photo of Daniel on the whole net!!

Please remember that the Bulletin Board is no longer being archived. This is just too much work and the archives are not being accessed that much anyway. The material that is already archived will remain there for now.

Thanks to Serenella, we now have some pictures from one of Daniel's very early films, Nanou. I have added a new page to the Photo Gallery Index to show these.

Effective immediately, the Bulletin Board will no longer be archived. The archives that are here now will remain, but no more will be put up. When the board gets to about 250 posts, it will be taken down and a "clean" board put up. I will try to give ample notice when this happens, so everybody can catch up on posts before they are gone.
